Shift the weight backward, sit on the right leg with the left one touching the ground insubstantially. The right hand protects the right elbow, with the left fist relaxing and sinking downward to protect the crotch.

The left fist turns over and exerts peng forward with the root of the middle finger pointing ahead, to form the “approach the stars” posture.

Hold in the chest. Turn the right hand and sink it to the right of the hip circle with the left one turning inward to become half grasped. Form a vertical san guan, exerting an, peng, and ji. Look straight ahead.
